F4: a launching pad made in FIA

Dedicated to young drivers from all over the world, the F4 championships are a real springboard towards the higher categories of single-seater racing where they learn the basics of their future career

In the 2000s, Renault choses the SADEV SL75 sequential gearbox to equip its new Formula Renault. The main goal of this championship created by the manufacturer in 1971, was to identify young prodigies in France. It was a success for both the manufacturer and SADEV as the championship quickly inspired many other countries in Europe and throughout the world.

In 2014, the FIA created the FIA F4 championship and gave manufacturers the free choice to select their transmission supplier. Thanks to our experience in Formula Renault, FR2000, SADEV is then selected by the main manufacturers engaged in F4, convinced by the new gearbox designed and released for this occasion: the SL75LW, lighter and still as powerful as ever. 

Spread throughout the world, today, the F4 championships allow the drivers to compete against the most promising international drivers.

The top : in 2022 from October 28th-30th, the 2nd FIA Motorsport Games will take place. A super final of the best international F4 drivers competing on an identical single-seater vehicle to select the cream of the crop driver!
